Matthew Sermon 63 – Mat 19.27-29 – Reigning with Christ

Matthew63_19.27-29-Reigning_with_Christ-2013-08-11.mp3

The blood of Jesus has gone onto the earth (Mat 19.34), and there is nothing Satan can do about it. The earth belongs to Jesus now. The earth has been sanctified, set apart for God. And the Holy Spirit is taking it inch by inch, bringing in under the lordship of Christ.  Mankind has been sanctified, set apart for God. And the Holy Spirit is taking it sinner by sinner, bringing it under the lordship of Christ. There is nothing Satan nor any tyrant nor any empire nor any persecution nor any lie can do about it. This is our trust. This is our hope. This is our surety. This is our anchor within the veil. This is what we know. This is what is true. Satan may rage. And sinners may rage. But it is done. The blood of Jesus has gone on the earth, and nothing will ever be the same. The first century saints overcame Satan by the blood of the Lamb (Rev 12.11), and so shall we, because the victory is already won by the blood of Jesus. I hope you enjoy the sermon. Thanks for listening.  —Alan Burrow
