On this New Years Eve, with a bad economy, $16 trillion in debt, and the Fiscal Cliff less the 24 hours away, what Americans need is a little good news. President Obama gave it to them in the form of a pay raise for congress. In a perfect finale to his first term and a perfect kickoff to his second term, Obama has taken the depression-era Irving Berlin classic and given us a new version: “You Face the Music and I’ll Dance.”
